Hailing from a family of Hindustani Classical Musicians for the past four generations, it is quite natural that music flows in Maahirii’s blood. She has gained acclaim as a versatile vocalist in the music industry of India and Bangladesh. She sings her father and Guru Acharya Jayanta Bose’s compositions, original compositions of many musicians, Nazrulgeetis and her own compositions. She has featured in many popular Bengali TV channels as a celebrated vocalist. She has worked in original single vocal solo releases of many popular music labels, namely, Zee Bangla Music, Times Music Bangla, Atlantis Music, Suchitra Music, Huez TV (Bangladesh) and more. Her popular collaborations with the Bangladesh music industry have been chartbusters in ABC Radio 89.2 FM.

The title song of her maiden feature film “Bhagshesh” was written and composed by her and sung by Subhamita Banerjee & Jayati Chakraborty. It gained immense love and popularity from the audience. The song got nominations in multiple music categories in the popular Telecine Awards in 2019. All the other songs of Bhagshesh were compositions of Acharya Jayanta Bose. The music of Bhagshesh got nominations in 4 categories in the very popular Mirchi Music Awards, 2019. Maahirii, herself, also sang a song in Bhagshesh which also became a chartbuster.
